1997-2002Edit


Bumper: On a black background, a line colored blue, orange, pink, yellow and green (representing the channel's theme of the era) wipes in from the left, then wipes away.

FX/SFX: The wiping.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Extinct.

Scare Factor: None to minimal, the black background and how fast this bumper (and most other UK breakbumpers in general) is can startle a few.

2002-2008Edit

Bumper: On a black background, we see the Five logo of the time wiping in and wiping out while sliding slightly to the right.

Variant: The logo can be in different colors.

FX/SFX: The wiping.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Same as the previous bumper.

Scare Factor: None to minimal, the black background and how fast this bumper (and most other UK breakbumpers in general) is can startle a few.

2008-2011Edit


Bumper: We see the Channel Five logo of the time wiping in, via circle effect, with pink, blue and white circular streaks.

Variants:

  • The background can be in different colors.
  • Sometimes, items (e.g. bubbles) can form around the logo.
  • Starting around 2010, The logo is at the right side of the screen and it colored red, several coloured streaks form around the logo which forms.

FX/SFX: The logo transitioning in and the streaks.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Same as the previous bumper.

Scare Factor: TBA

2011-Edit


Bumper: We see the current Channel 5 logo in the left side of the screen forming around the red circular streaks.

Variant: Starting in September 2014, the logo is in the center and it forms on a red background.

FX/SFX: The formation of the logo.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Current.
