1st Warning (Mid 1990's–Early 2000's)[]

Warning A: Surrounded by a frame of gold filmstrip, we see the Cinema Club logo at the very top of the screen, with the tracking control notice below it in a gold Futura font on a dark grey-black gradient background. This fades out, leaving just the filmstrip and...

Warning B: We see a small VHS cassette at the top of the screen with the Cinema Club logo printed on the label. The warning text in the same font as before is seen below it. This fades out, leaving just the filmstrip, which then segues into the Cinema Club logo.

FX/SFX: The fading between warning screens.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Common. Appears on many, many VHS releases from Cinema Club from the time, including Dad's Army: The Movie, Annie, Bad Boys, The Shawshank Redemption, The Muppets Take Manhattan, Last Action Hero, Ghostbusters: Double Feature, Dogma, Godzilla, Hook, Legends of the Fall, Waterloo, Mrs Brown, The House of Mirth, and See No Evil, Hear No Evil.

Editor's Note: While this warning sounds like a very easy find, just bear in mind that some tapes - mostly early ones - may feature either the RCA/Columbia Pictures International Video or VCI warning screens.

2nd Warning (1999)[]

Warning: Same as the 1997 Columbia TriStar Home Video warning scroll.

FX/SFX: The scrolling of the text.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Only seen on the 1999 Cinema Club release of Men in Black (1997).
