1st Warning
(1993-1997)
Edit

Warning: Same as the 1988-2013 FHE/USA/Vidmark/IVE/Live/Avid/Trimark/Artisan/Lionsgate warning screen.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: On every VHS and Laserdisc from Pioneer Entertainment at the time.

Scare Factor: None.

2nd Warning
(1997-1999)
Edit

Warning: Same as the 1997-1998 Maverick Entertainment warning screen.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: It's on just about every Pioneer Entertainment release on VHS and DVD at the time. However, most Viz Video releases on VHS from Pioneer (such as the first few Pokemon videos) use that company's warning screen from the era.

Scare Factor: Minimal.

3rd Warning
(1997-1998, 1999-2007)
Edit

Warning: It's almost the same as the 1978-2004 Warner Home Video Warning screen, except the seal is the Strand Releasing warning seal, and the word "FBI" is thin and in a different way.

FX/SFX: None.

Cheesy Factor: Off the charts. The whole thing feels cheap, looking like it was done in MS Paint in a few minutes, and "FBI" and the seal look cheaply pasted into the picture.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: On every VHS and DVD from Pioneer Entertainment and Geneon Entertainment at the time, including many Viz Video releases of Pokemon since 2001. Please note that from 2001-2002, Pioneer Entertainment releases such as Akira: The Special Edition were released through DreamWorks Home Entertainment.

Scare Factor: Minimal. The awkward-looking "FBI" text may surprise some, especially those who were previously freaked out by the 4th Hanna-Barbera Home Video warning.
