Visuals: A pink scribble draws itself in over a black background. Inside the pink scribble is the text "Visit Sesame Street on the web at...", and below that is the Sesame Street website address, all in a light blue Dawncastle Bold font.
Variants:
- On Fiesta!, the scribble animates over a shot of the video's background sets. The scribble also animates a bit faster and there's a sound of a marker when it writes in.
- On Big Bird Gets Lost, the scribble appears over a shot of Big Bird smiling, which is the last shot in the video's closing credits (the "Thanks for helping" disclaimer also appears over this shot).
Technique: The scribble appearing.
Audio: A female announcer (Sonia Manzano, who played Maria on Sesame Street starting with the Season 3 premiere, Episode 0276, which aired on November 8, 1971, and last appeared on Episode 4514, which aired on January 12, 2015) and Rosa Casagrandes on The Loud House & The Casagrandes narrates out the text onscreen.
Audio Variants:
- Sometimes, the Sesame Street theme song, in either its harmonica or calypso renditions, finishes into this bumper. The harmonica variant appears on Elmo's World: Wild Wild West (and was reused as a music cue in Season 36), while the calypso variant is on most Elmo's World releases from 2000-01 (starting with Flowers, Bananas, and More) and the 2001 VHS release of Elmo's Musical Adventure: The Story of Peter and the Wolf.
- On the 2003 DVD Release of Get Up and Dance, the bumper is silent.
- On the 1998-99 VHS releases of Fiesta!, The Great Numbers Game, Kids' Favorite Songs, and Count it Higher (Sony Wonder issue), Manzano reads the text in a different tone (though on the first one, she only reads part of the text in tone #2).
Availability: Appears on various Sesame Street videos from the era. It made its first appearance on later copies of the 1997 VHS Get Up and Dance and later VHS releases. This bumper appeared on most videos starting with the 1998 VHS release of Fiesta! and Big Bird Gets Lost, and made its last appearance on the 2001 VHS release of Elmo's World: Wild Wild West!. It also appeared on the 2001-02 DVDs of all Sesame Street and Elmo's World videos. However, the earlier copies of the 1997 VHS of Get Up and Dance with the song "What's Your Number?" at the end didn't feature this bumper at all.
Editor's Note: This bumper is not favored by many due to the nature of its appearance, mainly the way it appears suddenly on a dark background.
February 12, 2002-Early 2008
Nicknames: "The Computer", "The Elmo Bumper", "Elmo on the Computer"
Visuals: On a white background, a 2D-animated computer fades in. Then, Elmo's hands appear and type on the keyboard. The camera switches to the back view of Elmo, as we zoom into the screen of the computer. The sky-blue glass background on it goes black, then turns into a pink or purple background with the Sesame Workshop house logo repeated behind it. The post-2000 Sesame Street logo, this time with "SESAMESTREET.COM" in place of "SESAME STREET", appears in the middle of the computer screen, and Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Zoe, Oscar the Grouch, Rosita, Bert, and Ernie appear behind the logo, and the bumper fades to white.
Technique: Everything.
Audio: It begins with some typing sounds and Elmo humming the Sesame Street theme. Then, he says "Sesame Street dot com! Yay!" as a drumroll plays, followed by a harmonica rendition of the Sesame Street theme. Elmo then ends the bumper with his famous laugh.
